I had film class last year and on my page the computer shows me the 9 poster. I watched the trailer and loved it. My bro got me the song on itunes for me. Another way I could have discover 9 was when I went to go see Coraline.

I first heard of 9 when I went to go see Push in the spring i think, It was in the opening trailers. I remember thinking how strange it looked at first, I thought it was cool but the characters scared me. It was "Welcome Home" that really drew my attention to it though. Then a few weeks after I saw the trailer, my animation teacher showed us the trailer and the short film since it was a CG film. I was immediately hooked at that moment, I couldn't wait to see it. It was a few weeks before the movie came out that I doodled my first OC 11 xDD

I saw the trailer before Coraline.
First thing I thought was "That movie looks creepy...." and my friend said "The trailer looks really awesome though" and I agreed. Months later, I saw bout 3 interviews for 9. Two of them were on The Tonight Show with Conan O'brien. He interviewed Elijah Wood, then another time Jennifer Connelly. The other interview I saw was on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (He interviewed Elijah Wood in that one) I got pretty excited, and decided I wanted to see it for my brithday. I wsn't extremely excited though, just kinda "Oh cool, this movie looks neat"
Wel, the night before I saw 9, I read a review that gave it 2 outta 5 stars. Though I donb't usually trust reviewers, I was rather dissapointed, and I wasn't so sure about seeing 9.
However, I went and saw it. And. It. Blew. Me. Away. I loved it so much! (Well, I still do, otherwise I wouldn't be on this forum |D; ) Yet another reason to never trust reviewers :3

I heard about it through little tid bits online from friends and some released info. But I didn't really remember much and it teetered into the back of my mind.
Then I got the Coraline DVD. I saw the trailer. I WAS HOOKED.

I first heard of it when Forbidden Planet advertised the figures on their website, a few months before the film came out. I thought it looked interesting (and mistook the stitchpunks for aliens at first ;^^), but didn't really take much notice until I saw the trailer before District 9. I fell completely in love with it as soon as I saw it, to the point where it was still stuck in my mind even as I was watching the film!

I THINK I saw the trailer when I saw Coraline with my mom. She said it looked interesting, and I nodded. Then I saw the trailer again when I was browsing the TV, and I was like, "OK, now I wanna see the movie." XD
And then I told my friend about it, and she said "omg I've been wanting to see the movie ever since I saw the short last year!" And I was wondering, "...There's a short?" XD So after I saw the movie with her, we were sitting outside and she was telling me all about the short, and I thought it was really cool. This was also when I was planning on making my own Stitchpunk, since I was gonna get hooked on the movie anyway. So now here I am! XD With my own OC (who sadly WASN'T based off my awesome pair of jeans that I wore to the movie... sorry, 116. XD) and another one on the way!

I remember watching the short about 2 years ago, and I thought it looked really great (I am a total animation nerd ^w^) Then I looked up on some sites more about the short, and then I found out a full length film was being adapted from it, I squee'd so loud haha! So I guess i've been waiting about 2 years for it ^^

I remember seeing it a few times in the previews when I went to the movies. My friend was like "you wanna go see that when it comes out?" and I was like "sure." And that was that.

As I recall I was spazzing out to Netbug about Ponyo and she made me watch the first 9 trailer. Thus sealing my fate.

Well, when I went to see Watchmen, I was really hyped up about it because I had read the comic, etc. But, I was VERY disappointed with the movie.
The one thing that stood out to me, oddly enough, wasn't in the movie itself. But rather, it was one of the trailers.
The trailer for 9. After the movie, we were like "well, that movie kinda sucked...but how about that trailer for 9, eh?"
I followed the Scientist's journal and experiment website with a passion for months, thinking it was the only site for fans to go to for info.
I then found a link to this Forum the day after the movie came out. And the rest, they say, is history!

My sister paid off two of my friends to kidnap me and take me to see it after she fell in love with it. Not sure if I should shoot her for it or thank her.

I first heard of it when we saw Coraline in theaters, and I thought "That movie looks interesting!" Silly me, I didn't really know a thing about it, or the fact that it had a whole complicated website!
I went to see the movie on opening day with my friend (I started to watch the short film a little bit before, but I didn't want to be spoiled or anything), and from then on I WOULD NOT STOP talking about it! I then thought that maybe there was one of those "You Know You're Obsessed With..." things about 9, so I looked it up, found this forum... and, well, that's how I came to this awesome place!
Naturally, I CANNOT wait for 9 to come on DVD, and when it does... PARODY VIDEO TIME!!
