Hmmm... I see that 9 better now... Is that a 3 and 4 to the right of the hand?

It certainly looks like it, especially the 3! Also, the red parts look completely different from 6's drawing style (and look somewhat like they've been drawn in crayon), so perhaps these were 2's annotations to the drawing from when he was studying it.

I KNEW I saw tongues when 9 was talking a couple times! I wasn't sure but now I am.

I never noticed that before... XD I need to look out for the tongues when I next see it, I think! Somehow, the idea of stitchpunks having tongues is strangely cool... (and at least it explains how they can pronounce sibilant consonants! ) Also, I noticed something that rather confused me when I saw it today. ;^^ At the end, when 9 holds the talisman up to the Fabrication Machine, along with the green light coming out of him there seem to be large, quick blasts of light, which I assumed were the stitchpunk souls that he had taken. However, there were 6 blasts. Does anyone have any idea as to what the 6th one could have been, or what else the blasts could have been if not the souls of the others? ;^^

Two theories; 1, the 6th soul was Mr. Fabs (Meaning he's had a soul this entire time, or have the other stitchpunks souls granted him one as well, or the talisman had a leftover reisdue from the scientists soul because he used it so many times), or 2; animation error. Which is what I'm rooting for, along with the whole 'tongues' thing. That would just be... too creepy. And not needed. Why would the scientist give them, like, leathery tongues? Ugh... fuel for my nightmares, I can tell you that.
Edit: You know what? I just noticed something- the place where the dead stitches gravestones were put? That was right in front of the scientists house. Isn't that interesting?

OK, I personally didn't realize this until it was pointed out to me by a friend. Remember that helmet that 8 has, the one that looks like a salt-shaker top? Recall that 1s hat also appears to be the base of a salt-shaker. For some reason, I've just got it into my head that 1 may have found the salt-shaker, been all, "Hey, this'd make a cool hat" and gives the top to 8 - "Use it to protect what little brains you actually have." But 8 would be all, " "

I think 8 would try to eat it before he realized what it could be used for- but yes, I think that might be right. And very, very cute.

Why would the scientist give them, like, leathery tongues? Ugh... fuel for my nightmares, I can tell you that. To talk. I mean...I'm not an expert or anything, but I'm pretty sure one can't speak clearly if they have no tongue. You need that thing in order to help make the proper sounds and form words.

Yeah, but they have voiceboxes. A radio doesn't need a tongue to produce sound. The stitchpunks are the same way.

Exactly. They have little speakers in their chests (about where the sternum would be on a human) so any of the conventional speaking mechanics aren't needed for stitchpunks. If that were true, they'd need tiny little lungs, too. It must be more of an animation error than anything else. See? The mouth is more or less for show.

Aldy pointed this out the other day, but... if the voice box really is the only thing they need to make sounds, then why move their mouths at all when they do speak? Technically, they would just have to open the mouth and sound would come out... which would look a little awkward!

I was thinking the mouth sorta guided the sound... like, made it make certain tones instead of just mono tone..... Then again, it could just make them seem more human, and be just for show |D;
BUt I like to think their mouths serve SOME kinda of purpose. |D;

Perhaps they still need to move their mouths to form words. Their voiceboxes could work on a similar principle to vocoders, where the vocoder that's connected to the source of sound produces the tone, but your mouth is still what forms the sound into words.

Some sounds require a tongue, though (Atleast, in humans it does). You can't make a "t" sound with just your mouth, for example. So even if they didn't have a "tongue", there would have to be something else in there to help. XD
