YAY, 6x7Fan, and I discovered something while looking at screen shots.
7's helmet is made out of: A bird skull, metal wire, rusty nails, and a saw blade. No joke.

So I'm an idiot and it took me until my most recent rewatch to even notice that 7 is holding 9's hand in the final scene. I hadn't ever seen that before. Derp!

I noticed this after re-watching the "9 meets 2" scene: when 2 finds the voice box in the doll and turns around to address 9, his eyes grow really big right before he faces 9. Not sure why he does that, though. It's at about 1:09 on this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=oB9yg9x2o9kProbably just animation error- but a funny find nonetheless! Also, on the topic of 7's helmet, I would just like to say that it is probably the most hardcore helmet I've ever seen. I applaud Shane Acker for this.

Some thing I caught while watching a HQ copy. 8's soul actually DOES have a broken clasp! I problem was that the second clasp was the one broken all along, not the first. The first one was just always hidden by his collar armor thingy. Everyone's soul did actually retain the damage they had when they died, except for 1's left hand being mangled. Eg. the plate on the back of 2's head, 5's eye. Noone had fabric textiles on them, though, which would explain the missing-ness of 6's stripes & ink smudgies and the burlap look on 5. To Dice: That'd would make sense. But even if it is just a light, 5's 'brain' is still only dealing with half of the information being taken in compared to the others. That'd mean it would take twice as long for it to totally effect him. To Vitani: That's how I got my sig ^_^ EDIT!: Turns out, 1 is actually hiding his messed up hand behind his back All injuries were kept on the souls!

And yeah, I had noticed your sig before, but I assumed it was photoshop! It was only when I looked closely at the end that I realized it wasn't.

Cissy: I noticed that about 2's eyes too (because I've watched that scene waaaay more than any of the others...little obsessed with 2 here<3). I don't think it's an animation error--I think it's just his 'pupils' focusing on the voicebox in his hands. I mean, if you're looking down at a book and you move your eyes to something ahead of you (especially something far away) and back down, you can feel this sort of shift as you refocus.
True, 3!

I think i might have found two easter eggs from Tim Burton's work in there:
When 9 is in the throne room for the first time, 6 is hunched down and clicking his fingers JUST like Edward Scissorhands.
And when 5 and 9 where standing outside the factory there were sheets caught on a pole that looked alot like zero but I could be wrong.

I have two theories about why 5 recovered so quickly from the Steamstress, also why he didn't look away. (One I actually heard)
1. The most common, 5 having only one eye and not having to respond as quick as the others/respond like the others 2. 5 shared a strong bond with 2, and he was probably shocked to see how 2's body had been used against them :<
If you never noticed, you'll find that the steamstress actually sewed threads to close 8's mouth when he was captured, but didn't do so when it attempted to capture 1.

I don't think the Seamstress had the time to incapacitate 1 and 7 the way it silenced 8. Sewing his mouth shut... *shudders* High-Octane Nightmare Fuel.
Also, the plate on 2's head could just as easily be the result of injury as design. The character drawings on 9experiment.com are of the cast as they are at the time of the film; 5's character sheet shows him with his eyepatch, even though he was born with two eyes just like anyone else.
Perhaps 2's eyes were wide because of his poor vision? If his optics aren't functioning right, they may adjust incorrectly to light and other factors, which would explain why the pupils seem to grow large at random moments.

I was referring to the drawings in the Scientist's journal, which is part of the artbook. He draws 2 with the plate on his head, as well as 5 with two eyes.

Oh, you've got me there. ^^; I had been using 9experiment.com for reference, so the artbook didn't even cross my mind. Good eye!

Actually, I just checked the artbook and they don't have all his designs in there -- but if you look at his journal on Facebook, where all the designs were posted, that's where the sketches of 2 with the plate and 5 with two eyes are!

Not sure if someone has said this already, but the clock on the church tower is set at 9:09.

I have no idea WHY I didn't notice this before...
When the Scientist talks about awaking the stitchpunks he sometimes talks about holding them before they wake up. Or disconnecting them. 9 didn't wake up until... who knows how long. Is it possible that it because he was still connected to the talisman?
