The movie's long running time is what I notice too, especially 2's death. I didn't think it was fair that he got killed so quick because I heard that only ONE of the characters was gonna died, but I also didn't think that half of the rest (expect for 3, 4, 7 and 9) of the group was gonna died too by getting their souls taken and with only 4 characters left.........that's just not fair.

I don't have many complants. I thought it was very enjoyable despite how short it seemed to be, thrilled to see it, I was. <3
I found 6 to be more adorable then I thought, But I expected him to be just a bit more crazy in the head. But I still like him, <3
So the only thing I really didn't like was how short it was, i can deal with no real backstory, But I wish it was longer.
And maby one day, MABY, We will get a new moive if they confierm a second movie.. Maby one that could explain a lot more, And what happens after the end.

to tell the truth, I can't think of a whole lot of things that bothered me. But yeah, the running time did bug me as well, and the lack of 6-ness.

Oh another thing. All the death, that stuck out to me. I really liked these characters for the most part and seeing some (I'm looking t 5 nd 6) die that just got to me. Actually I was hoping they'd either find some of their bodies or build them new ones and put their soul back in....but I dunno man the deaths got to me

I was rather frustrated at the lack of character development. I think 6 could've had more lines, too. The characters had hardly any interaction with eachother. Mainly it was the stitchpunks reacting and dealing with the situations. The makers could've definitely spanned it out more.
Actually, I thought the beginning went a little slow. It was so silent and.... I dont kno. I had expected more of "look at all this war and look at what this odd scientist had to resort to." instead of "Here's a ragdoll that just fell out of an odd machine, lets watch him try to walk over to a window!" It was cute, but I had expected something a little more intriguing.
Another big thing that bugged me was that from after 2, it was slow paced and then it goes straight to running out and going to the factory. There wasnt alot of mystery in the factory after that. I was hoping it might've been a bit more forboding and therefore left alone for a bit longer. It never happened though.
Overall, though, I'm happy with the movie. And I'd absolutely love to see it again.

What really got to me the most was 6's death. It was just horrible how his body was dropped into that abyss where no one could get to it, even if they WERE going to give him a proper barrial like they did for 2. That was one of the parts were I just bursted out crying, because his death just seemed the worst IMO...

Loved this movie TONS. But there really wasn't enough character development... I have a hard time sympathizing with 2's death because we barely knew him. The movie felt a tad bit rushed. But I still loved it! P.S- 6 didn't talk enough. >(

I LOVED the movie, but there was not enough time for them to develop outside the fighting. I wish there had been more "bonding time", which wouldn't have been too hard. Maybe just anoter 20 minutes wuld have done it.
Aside from that, nothing else really

The movie had several thing that bugged me don't get me wrong I love this film like running time and how it was rather rushed 2 got Captured by The Cat Beast to fast 8 didn't really do much they didn't really put used to 6's ability it just kinda like a extended verison of the Original short film.

Strangely enough, I liked this movie in spite of its many flaws, but a few things that will always bother me:
- the way 7 acts around 9; it's like she forgot he was responsible for setting this killing machine on everyone. We can see from her relationship with 1 that she can hold a grudge, so why wasn't she royally pissed at 9?
- the settings felt more like backdrops than real places. The cathedral was gone much too fast.
- No one mourned 8; well, 1 might have, but everybody else was all "Yay! The big machine's gone and we're gonna play and goof off even though one of us died a few minutes ago." I know he was a bully and not an important character, but he could have gotten some kind of acknowledgment.

One thing that bothered me... was how the characters died. I just found it so sad, especially when 5 died. Well... he DID die in the short...
Anyone notice how 5's character in the movie is kinda different than the 5 in the short? I mean... personality wise.

I mean... personality wise.My sister is writing an alternate retelling of the movie (titled "We Will Live" if you're interested) and she uses that as an excuse to why her version of 5 isn't quite as meek as the film version. He's still loveable, just not in quite the same way. Short!5 seemed much tougher and more a fighter than feature!5

Short!5 seemed much tougher and more a fighter than feature!5 2 seems more like 5 from the Short remember when he was going to risk his life to fend off the Cat-Bot to let 9 escape also has a cane like 5 did in the Short.

I agree, there weren't quotes in the movie that I had like to see. Definitely 2 saying "smashing' he's just so cute. And there is also a lot of stuff I saw with Jennifer Connelly that would have been better in the film. They could have added more story to it...instead of just action.
Don't get me wrong though, I LOVE the movie, they could have just made it better with more story.

Short!5 was a little older and more experienced than Film!5, I think. But they both had the ability to toughen up when they were really needed.
And I agree that the film just felt too... abrupt. We barely got to know 2 before he gets snapped up, and both 6 and 8 lack the characterization that they deserved. This film needed about 20-30 more minutes than it got.
My bet would be that Acker could learn a bit from Eastern animation when it comes to slowing down, being quiet for a moment, and enjoying the characters and their environment. If he could just hush all the action for a little bit and take in the negative space, I think that 9 would have been clearer and felt less rushed.
