As far as fans know, yes. Humans are extinct in the movie. Unless they make a sequel (or Shane says something), then that's how it is for now.
At the end of the movie they do suggest that some sort of life would return, though. So there are fan theories. XD

Exactly as Anna said. Thye seem to be all gone.
However, I do have a theory that life remains: In the scene where 9 goes to rescue 7 and 8, The Fabrication Machine is building a new Gun Walker machine.
Now, a walker would seem like a bit of overkill simply going after the stitchpunks. I feel like the Fabrication Machine was buildling it for one of two reasons:
A) the Fabrication Machine was just continuing its programming task before it what shut down: create war machines However, it broke the human's hold over it and turned the machines against the humans. Why would it keep going on programmin it overcame?
The second reason why it would be building a new Gun Walker: B) it found or had its machines report evidence of something else out there besides the stitchpunks...something bigger that would require bigger machines to eliminate. Could that mean that humans still exist?
It's a possibility...
