Ok, I'm an auto mechanic and handy man around my house. I've been working with tools for quite a good many years. I've seen images and vids of 9 smacking 2 upside the head dozens of time, and everyone keeps saying he's hitting 2 in the head with a wrench. Here's a pic of what 9 hits him with: Here's a wrench: Now, looking long and hard at it, it doesn't look like any sort of wrench I've ever seen. The only thing I can think of that it might be is a socket wrench (ratchet) with the internal rachetting wheel removed. Here's an article on socket wrenches: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socket_wrenchOr a breaker bar like this with that dark swiveling piece removed: So what exactly is it or what do you think it is? Please post ideas and suggestions with picture comparisons.

I don't remember what it was called, but I remember in an older behind-the-scenes video Shane had an entire shelf of random parts and tools... It reminds me of the end of a bendy desk lamp, though. XD Some sort of joint.

LOL That would be a neat little nod to the bendy lamp in the short in that case. ^^

It always looked like the end of one of those... THINGS my dad uses to tighten certain bolts on his bike. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT IS CALLED ARG.

I asked my brother (who is a mechanic) what he thought it was... his response was an air ratchet. So I'd say it's either that or a socket wrench like you said, Sir Vancealot. (Yes, I am calling you that from now on.)

Lol, late reply, I know...
But people could always say "9 picked up a foreign object that mechanics must use, the fans all know it!!!!"
Ok, so that wasn't funny, but oh well.

Hey, I just noticed something watching the movie yesterday: There are screw threads on the end of that thing 9 hit 2 with. Wrenches and tools don't have screw threads on them... So what the heck is it, anyway?

It was probably a joint for something... I mean, it looks like the neck of my desk lamp. XD It was probably part of a car, or something.

Oh, if it was from one of those flex-lamps like in the short, it'd be a nice hommage, eh?

Okies I swear this shall be my final entry in this craziness... I think I finally found what it was 9 hit 2 with: Tis a tie rod end associated with the steering system of a car! Victory!
