im not sure where to put this thread at...but i was recently having a RP when the question came up, or atleast to me it did, since the twins have shown that they can project movies in black and white, and the setting of the movie itself, do you think that the stitchpunks can see in black and white, like the old movies, or in color?.

Hm...good question, 0.
I never thought of that...
And I don't remember the stitchpunks in the movie mentioning color at all.
You may be on to something...

I think the movies were just black and white in the first place.

That's an interesting thought... Color TV wasn't around until the 40/50s, if I recall correctly (the movie seems to take place in an alternate-reality-30/40s). The scientist's projection to 9, in the final scenes of the movie, was also in black and white... Of course, 1 seemed to match the color of his ruby/cape pretty well. So I think they can see in color. Perhaps the Scientist was ahead of him time. XD

There was the sequence when we were "seeing" through 9's eyes. The scene when he wakes up in the infirmary.. His vision wasn't in gray scale.
Hope this helps.

I'm gonna agree and say that they see in colour. Like Anna said, colour TV wasn't around in their "time", but it was already and alternate reality, so hey, anything goes right?

Right. They've built supercomputers and alchemically-augmented, sentient ragdolls: color recording doesn't feel like that much of a stretch.

I personally think they can see in color. It does kind of take place in a futuristic post-apocalyptic world, after all, and then they'd know when the machines were coming because they could see their red eyes!
Plus, that part where we see through 9's eyes is a good point.

The film reels from 3 and 4 are just the black and white because that's probably the kind of film available at the time.

Just a thought: Maybe 3 and 4 see in black and white, and everyone else in color? XD

If anything, I would think it to be 6 to see in B&W- because, you know, he so crazy. And it's not as if he would need color anyways. I just would think it would be needed for 3 and 4 to see in color, because they have to record things and stuff.

Well honestly, how can we even tell? I think it depends on how the Scientist programmed their vision. For all we know, they could see in black 'n' white. All we get to see is color. Maybe if we saw the movie (literally) through the eyes of a stitchpunk, we could tell.
