I don't know if I should put this here but anyway, here interesting question. IF there was a sequel to 9, what would be the new theme song to it? Should it be another song from Coheed and Cambria or from other bands? As for me I pick Linkin Park cuz they're the coolest band ever! I love all the songs that may fit for the film, but I mostly like this one better: www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLHpvjrFpe0 And this pretty melody could be for the trailer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuhDz_2iV1g I can't think of other songs besides LP, but when I do, I'll post them up later.

I can see some of LP's new music being very fitting for 9, but their older stuff not so much. New Divide comes readily to mind, but that may just be because I've been obsessively listening to the Transformers 2 soundtrack.
Another Coheed song might work, but it really would have to depend on the storyline of the sequel, wouldn't it?

Its hard to say Ailce, the song Welcome Home is awesome, but the lyrics didn't seem to fit the movie or had nothing to do with the plot but thats what I think. =/

That's true, but I don't think they ever intended it to be the actual theme song for 9 anyway. (Might be wrong) It wouldn't be the first time they used a song for a preview just because it made the preview itself sound that much more epic. (Titan AE, for example, used Creed's Higher.)

I prefer Welcome Home's instrumental version. -u- All the power, none of the lyrics to get in the way.

I love the vocal version of Welcome Home as well, but the instrumental certainly fits better with the movie.

Am I the only here who thinks that Welcome Home is a freaking amazing song that fits great with 9? I love that piece to death. Anyways, if anything, I think the next theme to 9 should probably be metal, since it goes quite well with the movie (You know, the hardcore, raise your fists in the air and pump you up sort of stuff), and maybe Kamelot might work? Perhaps they could seek another Coheed and Cambria song to use, since they have some mighty fine works indeed. Also... I don't really think Lincoln Park really works for 9. I have reasons to think this, but I don't want to insult and LP fans- I like their music fine, but the feel of it doesn't work well for 9, y'know? I'm stickin' to my guns with 9 and metal.
Of course, this is all if 9 has a sequel.

Lol, I'm feeling in a very random mood at the moment, and I'm very tempted to say this song: www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqztQkKfOSMBut that is definitely NOT my answer. I'd have to say... er... well, a trailer might do ok with Click Click Boom by Saliva. Don't ask me why... it just seems appropriate for a trailer with lots of explosions. *watches as 9 gets blown into the air, flying across the room* See what I mean?

Damnit, YAY, you give me the weirdest ideas. *facepalm* Disturbed is not metal, but the description you gave just made me think of their music for some reason. (Ten Thousand Fists, to be exact.)

How about Iron Maiden's "Brave New World"?

"We Are the Normal" by The Goo Goo Dolls. I made an AMV to that song, I think it suits the characters and story well

Nice choice, Anna. Even the band name reminds me of the stitchpunks... XDDD *shot*

Linkin Park seems a bit tame for the 9 world, to be honest XD They've always been fairly...uh, clean compared to a lot of other rock bands I listen to on a regular basis.
How about Skillet's "Whispers in the Dark"? God knows I listen to that song way too much...or RED's "Breathe Into Me" would work nicely, I think. Maybe. Hmm...

I'd love to hear something from Muse if there's a sequel. Probably from their older albums though, more specifically Absolution.

If the Fabrication Machine came back in a sequel, then I think "The Red" by Chevelle might be a good theme song. Also, "Tonight, Tonight" by The Smashing Pumpkins could work quite well, depending on the sequel's tone.
