Do you think if 9 really takes off in Asia, (if it goes) especially Japan they'll be more merchandise? I'm only wondering because, I noticed the movies The Nightmare Before Christmas and Lilo and Stitch seem to have more of a variety in that country compared to America. Even though both movies are Disney.

There might be some new (unofficial) merchandise, if it did well over there. But if you're not from the country, you would have to find everything on ebay, or something.

I don't think so, but yet, I wouldn't be surprised if it does really REALLY well in Asia.

Shane Acker did say he was inspired by Japanese animation; especially Akira and Studio Ghibli. I wouldn't be surprised if 9 took off in Asia, even despite its total lack of moe and fanservice.

Don't forget that steampunk and cyberpunk are massively popular over in Asia, so 9 will fit right in with that. I think we'll get a lot more merchandise once it hits Japan, even if it is harder to find at first.

Hows this for a paradox? The prologue for 9 is that the Japanese saw the movie, how so inspired that they tried to recreate it with fake bombs. Too bad they were REAL and the whole world got blown up. The events of 9 follow.

Bwaah, they should have some 9 merchandise over at Asia! I'd like to see some stuff sold over here in the Philippines. :/
