I don't know if any one has mentioned this before but a 9 prequel comic book showing what happens from the creation of all the stitch punks to the beginning of the movie could be fantastic
Okay so I decided to add some reasons why this would be a good idea
1. it would be easier and cheaper to make then a prequel film
2. if the artistic detail is anything like the movie it would look amazing
3. if it is a hit it would gain new comic fans which like myself will want to see more of this universe.

Yeah, that would work nicely. All the fun of establishing more canon without the pressure and hype of a whole new film. Acker and Burton should totally be listening to you guys. ^^

Well, Shane has a Facebook page... XD You could all post on his wall I do like the idea of a comic, though... They are "the poor man's movie". It could also answer some questions that the movie did not address.

Now that I think about it, a graphic novel would be great! I mean, I love comics anyway, but a prequel 9 comic would just blow my mind...

That would be an epic idea. Plenty of potential plot and opportunities to use cool visual effects, but less expensive to make than a movie.

I know I'd efinately buy it. In fact, I'd buy a bunch of each volume and give them to my friends so they can read it.

I would totally get behind it, as long as they hired a good comic artist, as opposed to a good illustrator.
Most of these corporate guys can't tell the difference, so you have would-be interesting comic titles like Wal-E out there. The writing is pretty decent, the drawings are solid but I can't follow what's going on for the life of me.
Comic artist, people.

Epic Idea!!!!
Seriously, with a graphic novel you don't need to worry about budget or time constraints! You have all the time in the world to create and elaborate a plot with comics. ^^
Would buy!
