1: HIS HAT DUH! (no JK) lolz i like how he looks out for everyone even if he's a harsh little pope doll.
2: he's just a big sweetie. he's like the grandpa i never knew. XD
3/4: they are very curious but they never talk. as long as they dont talk im fine. i think 2 twins together when they CAN talk is very annoying (no offence to any twins here and dont feel too bad twins run in my family)
5: EVERYTHING! He's just this big hearted character that's always willing to please others and look out for the ones he cares about. whats not to like? (cept maybe his huge thighs? XD)
6: he's nuts just like meh!! *rawrs* He comes off as a total nut job but he's actually very smart and understands things very quickly. (didnt anyone notice that? haha jk)
7: i like how she's a total tomboy but can still sound femanine and girly when she's... ehem... PLAYING THE DAMSEL IN DISTRESS!
8: HE'S MY BIG TEDDY BEAR. He's all bark and no bite when it comes to the others. he looks like a big brute but all he's really there for is to keep the others in line. i think thats kinda cool.
9: i think.... i just like the zipper mostly. and his voice. other than that he's pretty much annoying. XD (but he's still one of my top 3 faves)

Ok 1) i don't really like him at all to be honest, i hate how he sacraficed to "for the good of many", i mean, that doesn't really make any sence. I always thought the more the merrier.
2) i thought 2 was qute a cool character, he was kindly but frail inventor AND explorer. he embodies the Scientist’s strong creative spirit. An curious personality, 2 is fearless.
3) I love 3, well i also love heaps of the other characters but i love how 3 and 4 can comunicate with each other by BLINKING. that is awesome. 3 & 4 catolauge everything they can see and find, and i found it quite funny (not to mention cute) when 3 quickly screwed back on 9's lightbulb after 9 said he awakened the machine.
4) I also love 4, my fave aspect of him though would be how he can show videos with his eyes. The lack of personal space and how playfull 3 and 4 can be really made me smile. I loved the part where they were with 7 on the reccord. I also really love their hoods!!!
5) I love this guy too... He is a caring, nuturing engineer – the loyal, big-hearted "common man" who always tries to play the peacemaker. He is also an apprentice of 2, with whom he shares a special bond.
6) Whats not to love about THIS little guy... I love his crazy, playful personality and artistic tallent. Although isolated and unusual, his bursts of artistic inspiration through drawings made from his pen nib hands were be keys to help his fellow stitchpunk mates navigate their darkest hours. but my favorite part about him are his eyes!!!
7) OMG I LOVE her. she is so close to fitting my exact personality. She is a brave and self-sufficient warrior and is the group's sole female. she is a fiercely independent adventuress who has adapted, finding the bones of a deceased bird and crafting her signature skull helmet.
8) I wasn't really that worried or fussed when 8 got his soul sucked by the machine, but when 7 came out of the 3rd beast i panicked. 8 is armed with a giant kitchen cleaver and half a scissor blade, the none-too-bright muscle and enforcer of the group, 8, is created to help the others physically survive the dangerous post-apocalyptic world.
9) i think 9 was both lucky and unlucky if that even makes scence. he awakened the machine, then he saves 7. He fails to get 6 away from the machine, then he get's 7 as his girlfriend... kind of. anyway. 9 is the newly born and aborning hero of the movie.
The scientist) we didn't see much of the scientist throughout the film, but i did some research and found out that he was a former toy maker who created the stitchpunks and also invented the machine. Each of the stitchpunks is a component of the Scientist's soul. At the beginning of the film, one of the first things 9 comes across is the Scientist's lifeless body sprawled on the floor.
The Machine) An evil... thing, that wants to take over the world. thats all i got from him
The cat beast) Don't like him, he took 2, <3
The teradactle beast) eh
The snake beast) my fave bad guy, i like this character so much because i find that he was the one that brought 9 and 7 to love each other <3

i forgot to mention, 7 may be the only girl, but heck, she one of the ones that survives, she manages to save 9, 5 and 2 by herself, and she is basically the toughest out there. GO GIRL!!!

Warning: Major spoilers in here and it’s very long. So you have been warned…and here we go.
1: He was really annoying in the beginning of the movie. I actually really didn’t like him very much until his character began to change close to the middle of the movie. I was really pissed off when it was revealed that he had sent 2 out to die, and it just made it worse because 1 acted as if he didn’t even care. Which he didn’t. That really made me actually hate him. But what made me begin to warm up to him was his expression at 2’s burial scene. He really looked as if what he had done was wrong and that he was regretting the entire thing. He looked sad for 2’s death and that made me kind of semi-forgive him. And what made me totally forgive him (and actually make him my fourth favorite) was his act at the end of the movie. He finally realized what he had been saying for a while actually meant and made the greatest self-sacrifice by letting the Fabrication Machine take his soul instead of 9’s. That really made me love the guy because he finally got it. Everything finally clicked into place in his mind. I absolutely adore his voice and his “Pope Doll” outfit: two of the best things about him I think. ^^
2: What is there not to like about 2? He is just that perfect grandpa that practically anyone would want. He’s so kind as he isn’t mad at 9 for killing him; he smiles at 9 at the end of the movie, showing 9 his automatic forgiveness. He is a frail old man but he is strong and brave as well, leading the Cat Beast away from 9 in the beginning of the movie even though he was so afraid. You could see it on his face and hear it in his voice as he said “Why don’t you finish what you started…with me?” He allowed himself to be captured by the Cat Beast while 9 could get away safely. And then later he pushed 9 out of the way when the Talisman attacked him. And his bond with 5 is one of the strongest bonds I have ever seen between two characters. You can honestly tell by the way they act around each other (even though it’s a very short amount of time) that they really care for each other and you can see the bond that they share just by how they act. I mean seriously…unbreakable bond between those two. Even death wasn’t able to break that bond. I find that very sweet. 2 is sweet in general, and I love his hat. XD His scream is also pretty awesome…
3&4: These two little creatures are a couple of the cutest little things I have seen…ever. ^^ The way they move, the way they cling to each other, the way they communicate. They are just so adorable! And I love how they have, like, no respect for anybody’s personal space *cough, 9, cough*. It was said that the character designers used meerkats as inspiration for these characters, and I think that fits perfectly. I love how they flash their eyes to communicate, I love their little hoods, and I love their little cape-type things they have. They’re just all around CUTE characters.
5: EVERYTHING! Holy crap, this character is amazing. He is (obviously) my favorite character and he is just such a little cutie! There’s something about him that just says little puppy to me. He is so timid, so meek, so afraid…but he also very brave. He doesn’t want to go after these monsters, but he knows that he has to. His design is amazing, and I love how they gave him an eye patch cuz it makes one of the stitchpunks flawed, so that they’re not all “perfect”. They don’t all have every part of their bodies. He goes through a large character change as well, going from a timid guy that wouldn’t even dare speak up to 1 to a strong, brave guy who finally found the guts to talk back to 1. His death impacted me the hardest (not only because he’s my favorite character) because he was actually the only one of the five stitchpunks that died that was yelling and trying his hardest to get away. 2 stood there and let it happen, 8 fought but not very hard, 6 didn’t fight at all, and 1 pushed 9 out of the way to take it himself. 5 was screaming and struggling and that made me tear up actually. And the way 9 ran forward to try to help him got to me, too, and 1 holding 9 back both made me angry and kind of satisfied. But what really stood out to me from his character change was the very last scene where the souls fly up into the sky. When 5 looks back at 9 he looks at him with uncertainty and he doesn’t want to go with the other souls. But when 9 gives him that little nod of encouragement 5 realizes that he can go on his own and he realizes just brave he is and so he allows himself to fly off into the sky with the others. 5 is just an all around amazing character and I love him to pieces. <3
6: Ah, the crazy artist. 6 is actually my third favorite character (after 5 and 2) and my favorite aspect about him has got to be the way he communicates (or tries to) through his art. He has such a unique style of drawing that I found intriguing. I love how his fingers are little pen nibs and how he uses them to draw his pictures. I love how he was humming while drawing in the first scene we saw him, as other people have said. His mismatched eyes jut add perfectly to his character and they make him a heck of a lot cuter. I absolutely adore his little trot-run and I wish that I could imitate it. ^^ He looks to be a little, scared boy that wouldn’t dare do anything dangerous but really I saw him as one of the bravest. When the Fabrication Machine grabbed him and pulled him down from the bridge 6 wasn’t scared at all. He looked death right in the face and didn’t fight it. And his last moments alive he took to yell “Go back to the first room! He’ll show you! The source!” instead of trying to fight the Machine’s grip. I have to admit I teared up and had to cover my mouth in the theater when the Machine just dropped 6’s body lazily into the gorge. I don’t why but that kind of got to me. But I love 6’s character and his design and I just loved the little guy. XD
7: Kicks ass. She is just the warrior that looks out for the group even though they don’t know she is. She left the group but she never left the group. She was just looking out for them from afar. One of my favorite lines from the movie is right when she save 5, 2, and 9 from the Cat Beast and 5 yells “You’ve come back!” and she replies “I never left.” I just love that. My favorite aspect though is probably her motherly nature. I love her mother/children connection between her and the twins. She was the only one that knew that they were alive and so she looked over them while they were all away from the cathedral. And you gotta love her skull helmet. I know I do.
8: The bodyguard. 8 is actually my least favorite but I still like the big guy. He’s just so squishy looking. ^^ And though he acts all tough he’s really just a big sweet guy that looks out for everyone (in 1’s twisted way). And yes, I laughed at the magnet scene…I don’t know how anyone couldn’t. I wasn’t expecting anything like that to be in the movie. When I saw it in trailers I just thought that 8 was being a dork and messing around but no…he was doing something totally different. I loved how at his very last second of life, after he struggled against the Fabrication Machine’s grip and found it useless, he stood up tall and put on a brave face right before the Talisman lashed out and sucked his soul. My favorite aspect of 8 are all of his facial expressions. I love them. He has “sweet”, “strong”, “confused”, “annoyed”, “pissed off”, and my personal favorite “I’m gonna kick your ass”. Lol, he is just the stitchpunk of many expressions.
9: Wow…9. He’s not one of my favorites but I don’t hate him or anything. I wanted to strangle him when he plugged the Talisman into the Fabrication Machine, but you really can’t blame him. He was just curious and it was his first day of life so yeah, he made a mistake. But I grew to like him more as the movie progressed because he tried to fix his mistakes. He didn’t just let the whole thing go. He knew that they needed to get rid of the Fabrication Machine, and I know someone has already said this but he asked the questions that needed to be asked. 1 thought he got rid of those questions with sending 2 out to die but then 9 came in and just picked up 2’s slack, continuing to ask those need-to-be-asked questions. My favorite aspect of 9 is how he admitted his mistakes at the end of the movie. “They all died because of me. I started this…and now I need to finish it.” One of my favorite lines in the movie, actually. And he was willing to sacrifice himself to save the others and fix his mistake. Sure he could be annoying at parts of the movie but hey…they all were.

3 and 4 remind me a lot of myself. I love to read and I'm always watching others quietly. I kind of have my own language that a lot of people don't quite understand. Plus, I think that good situations call for a little happy music like they did with the record player. As for the personal space issues, that's the one thing that gets me. I don't have that issue because I have my own space that I hate being invaded.
