I got it! I watched the deleted scenes first and I think some of them should have been put in the movie, especially Taking the Offensive. And there is a special edition? Damn...oh well.

So it does exist. Let us know what features are on there so we can compare. I'm pretty happy with the regular edition but I wouldn't mind going to get the special one since I still have gift cards left.

I'm not sure if I should post my thoughts on DVD content here, or in the other DVD thread, but I guess it doesn't matter. XD Umm... if you don't want spoilers, don't read any more of this! ~~ Deleted Scenes: I posted this in another thread... movie9.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tm&action=display&thread=4822The Long and Short of It, The Look of 9, Acting Out: I don't want to go into epic amounts of detail with these extras, but they're really interesting and fun to watch. I really, REALLY want some of the props the animators used from "Acting Out". XD Shane swinging around 8's blade was great. There was also some concept art that I had never seen before, and I love concept art. The Original 9 Short: It's nice to watch it in high quality, instead of a crap version on Youtube. The commentary on it is also nice to listen to Feature Commentary with Shane, Joe, Ryan, and Nick: The best part of the special features, in my opinion. They just go into more detail about the story, characters, and setting... There's also some great comical comments in it, as well. Furthermore, they answered a question I had about 7 that I was really curious about, which made me happy as a clown. Good picture quality on the DVD, too... Even better on the Blu-Ray, I hear. The sound is great, the main menu screen is pretty nifty... Just a great DVD, overall. <3 The CD color took me by surprise, though. I thought it was glow in the dark for a minute. XD

My parents came home with it for me today. It's one of my belated Christmas presents. I can't wait to force them to watch it on New Years.

The 14.99 and 19.99 thing at Wal-Mart sounds very suspicious, but from what I understand, it's fairly easy to figure out which one is the regular edition and which one is Special Edition.
Regular - Cardboard Slip Special Edition - Steel Case
Blu-Ray looks like the regular edition, only with the Blu-Ray bands on the cover.

The shiny slip is normal...got the same thing at Target. The word straight from FYE is that the Special Edition comes in a steel case, though no one seems to have gotten one, so it's a presumption at best.

I think the only special versions of the movie are regular DVDs with elaborate covers XD What might have happened is, they were planning to have a SE, but then decided to just cram it all on one disk. Or, they're going to release a special edition at a later date. But for right now, it's safe to assume, there's no 2-disk anything. That's ok, though... the regular DVD is awesome. <3

I just wanna say, at the beginning of the opening sequence thing, the order starts with 8-1-7, and I thought it was kinda lulzy.
