why cant you wait until it comes to your country It doesn't come out here until February, and I really don't want to wait another two months for it. ;^^ Having one arrive in about a week or so, even if the picture isn't going to be quite as good for me, sounds much better! (Besides, I'll probably get the DVD when it comes out here anyway, too. )

OH. MY. GOD.
Our FYE store got NOTHING. And that's the end of it! There are only three stores in New Hampshire...and only one that's less than 120 miles roundtrip...and I can count the total number of special edition copies they received on my hands. Whoever was in charge of marketing this film should be shot, though the FYE associate who didn't know how to ring-up the Special Edition reservation and then guaranteed I'd be able to get one anyway should be fired too. Should've gotten it in writing! XD
I went to Target and picked up the regular edition (FYE's prices are awful). At least it still has the commentary and original short.

I just bought it. The deleted scenes made me a VERY happy nerd. I've been watching them repeatedly or as 6 would say, "Again! Again! Wheee!"

(Deleted comments related to topskyret's post because they are no longer relevant)
I just think there are going to be a ton of disappointed 9 fans who weren't able to get the Special Edition because they made it ridiculously exclusive. I mean, to have it in just one store is one thing, but then to release so few copies into those stores? Like I said, we didn't even break double digits in copies sent to the entire state.

Question: IS there a special edition of the 9 DVD?

We've been trying to figure that out for a week now. XD TopSykret, you meant the regular version, I assume? My FYE told me that it got removed from their computer system, and so far the only alternate edition I've heard of is from Wal-mart (widescreen version). So unless someone from here finds a special edition, I'm going to go ahead and say they decided not to release it, or will release it later. All that said, I really like the regular DVD. They managed to get a lot of extra stuff on it. (The commentary is awesome )

TopSykret, you meant the regular version, I assume? I'm pretty sure mine's the common edition. Only special title I see on it is wide screen. XP I still love my copy, but I'm curious as to what's on the elusive special edition.

XP I still love my copy, but I'm curious as to what's on the elusive special edition. FYE told me it was in a steel case, though there's obviously no way to confirm that unless someone posts a picture. YOUR TASK HAS BEEN GIVEN. So wait a sec...are the deleted scenes in the regular DVD release? Because I didn't see any mention of it on the box and assumed it was in the special edition.

I bought the regular version at Sam's since I haven't heard about a special edition anywhere near me but the thing is pretty loaded with special features for a regular edition, including deleted scenes. The box doesn't mention them but its part of the "and more" features.

Good lord, that's TERRIBLE marketing! Deleted scenes are one of the golden features of DVD release extras...you don't just lump them in with the "and more!" XD
