What did you think of Christopher's roles in other movies? Did you see him in 12 monkeys? If not go to net flicks or to the nearest video store NOW ! So far his role as 1 sounds cool but will he make it convincing ? Fan of plummer ? Discuss people

I saw his autobiography at Borders and I have to say, I couldn't put it down. He has a lovely way of writing, it's almost like you can hear him read the words out loud. Other than that, I don't have much experience with his films sadly - saw Sound of Music and Up and that's about it. But that's changing now!!!!

Perhaps it's cliche for me to say this, but I don't think Shane could have picked a better actor to portray 1. Christopher Plummer's voice is just golden. Sometimes, especially when his voice gets deep and soft, I'm brought to tears from the richness of his character.

The man is made of win. I saw his autobiography in Coles, I should have picked it up. I haven't watched too many movies with him in it but I LOVED his cameo in National Treasure. "The Sound of Music" was pretty good too (Eidelweiss anyone?). I definately loved him in Up. (Spoiler! I almost cried when his character died in that movie. Just, the way he doesn't make a sound and just falls with those baloons wrapped around his ankles...wow, I should probably post this in the "Up" thread). 12 Monkeys, you say? Hmmm, I shall have to go and check it out.

He had a cameo in National Treasure!? *scratches head* Yes he played Ben Gates Grandpappy. He's also in The Lakehouse. That movie is pure chick flick, I cried at the end. But his character is a meanie in that movie. But I still like to watch him.

I loved him in Sound of Music and I haven't seen Up yet, but I definately will.
As for his singing...I was doing research on Sound of Music (because I'm a dork like that) and discovered that his singing voice in that movie was dubbed! It's not him singing! Apparently the director felt that, while his singing voice was good, it was no match for Ms. Andrews's lovely voice, so they dubbed his voice. I pretty much figure that sucks...
