I don't know if the exact date was ever finalized, but 1939 is when "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" came out. So maybe an alternate universe 1930-1940s.

Yeah, I definitely suspected it would've been during the second World War. So, yeah, some time after 1939 c:

1930's and 40's for the win, Shane Acker confirmed it in the behind the scenes. Speaking of which has anyone heard of post modern jukebox?

Nope, haven't heard of post modern jukebox! I wonder what the exact year is. It'd be cool to know the exact year I'm thinking of 1939 or 1940. The Wizard of Oz came out in 1939 and we hear Somewhere Over The Rainbow in the movie as we all know. So it's probably around the time the movie came out c:

Dude, that is so so cool!! That is seriously so awesome, what great people Ahhh, I never even picked up on that. Well, at least we have more information so you're right, it either must be in 1943 or 1944. Either way, it makes perfect sense

I think if you take a close look in the newspapers that show up in the movie, they have the year 1939 on them. So the movie takes place sometime after that point.

My friend Mervin mentioned that quite a while back that it was around that time also if you see the images of what the machines . did the people look from the 1940's so I guess to conclude it was probably around the 1940's
