I think what will happen is that the scientist will post about 9, however, he will say he hasn't put the soul in yet. That will probably be the last post . . .

Looks like there was another update to the scientists journal today.
It finally updated the stuff from yesterday for me... I wonder what happened.
It seems like the scientist allows the stitchpunks to go out and about during the day and expects them to come home every night...

I'm pretty sure he meant he was looking forward to the rebel's safe return.

Huh, the first time I read the new entry it sounded like he meant the stitchpunks, but now that you mention it it sounds like he meant the rebels.
Maybe he meant them both...? It is just worded very strangely, with him saying 8 was "born" on the third and he "released" 8 today... Eh, maybe I'm looking too far into it.

Yeah, that was my initial thought too, Bane. It's strange wording--I'd want to keep the stitchpunks safe as long as possible--if they're the sole guardians of the future, wouldn't he want to protect them while he could? Or maybe he wanted them to learn about the world around them, including the dangers, so that they could survive after humans were gone. It must have been a hard choice for him--I'm sure he loved them all like he would his children. Ughhh this is so sad. It's exciting seeing new things, but knowing how it's all going to pan out for the humans is depressing.

New journal update! I love 9's character sheet also, you can see how his inside are made up. It's very interesting.

Listening to the new symbol audio and reading the new (and almost definitely final) made me... depressed.
I never thought a viral site could evoke such emotion. It's like learning an online friend of mine is just... gone.

I knew it was coming but it still makes me sad for the scientist. He never got to see his mistake mended and did not know if his other stitch-punk creations were still alive. What makes it sadder is he dies alone in his fatigue with only the hope that 9 would be his last answer. Good bye scientist, you will be missed

RIP Scientist... It's so sad that he never got to see his nine creations reach their full potential. The poor guy died alone and hopeless. *moment of silence* The team behind the website did VERY well. I'm impressed. This story really has touched my heart so many many times. *sniffle* ...a bittersweet Happy Birthday to our own beloved 9!
