I agree with the fake outtakes.... like what they did in Monster INC. XD
Also, they could have had individual interviews with the cast and like... how they related to the movie... plus a more in-depth interview with the Acker man.

I would have LOVED to see fake outtakes. XD I mean, it probably wouldn't fit well with the dark themes in the film, but if they had it on a bonus disk or something, I would have been happy/amused.

Fake outtakes would have been hilarious! I can so imagine 2, like, tripping and falling or something while his soul was supposed to be being sucked out at the beginning and the whole scene gets screwed up......XD

Some commentary from Christopher Plummer on his thoughts on playing 1 during the "The Long and Short of It" special might have been nice, since the other voice actors have all expressed their thoughts. Oh, and 8's VA too! Thusfar, I've seen nothing from either of them on their opinion on 9, and it kind of bums me out. Plummer did such a stellar job, I'd love to hear what he thought about it. In all, though, I was satisfied with the DVD otherwise. I agree 100% on Christopher Plummer commentary. He hasn't been doing voices since Rock-A-Doodle, so it would be nice knowing what it was like for him going back to voice acting. And what did he think of the movie? What did he think of 1? Being that Up came out the same year as 9, would he compare 1 to Charles Muntz? Did he have any of his other roles in mind while voicing 1 (Like the Grand Duke or Dr. Paranussus)? That would be awsome if he would have an interveiw about it. Then again, he could've just done it cause he needed some extra money, but I won't really accept that as an answer. He did such a good job on voicing 1, he had to have cared about it, even a little.

Overall I like the DVD of "9." Though it isn't the treasure trove that the TNBC DVD was, for example, it still was not cheating us out of features like Coraline did. (Seriously! the DVD folks got nothing there, and... *stomp, stomp* *sweat* *growl, grr...*) Oh sorry, I got lost in a pet peeve.
I want more deleted scenes above all. There has to be more character interactions than they showed us. And to whoever mentioned that bit of dialog said by Jennifer Connelly, thank you! Those lines were not in the movie and I really want to know what Seven was talking about. I think that was probably used in the "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" scene when she was talking to Nine, but they trimmed it down to just her thanking him for saving her. They trimmed a few lines (Smashing, anyone?)
Let's not forget the other cut Seven line: "You want to live? Fight!"
Anyway, a concept art feature would be nice too, or at least a short look at some sketches and the designs of the stitchpunks and machines. It would be fascinating to see some of Shane Acker's artwork from the original short days too. They'd be like...artifacts at this point!
