There already IS a 9 video game guys. It's called LittleBigPlanet if you weren't paying attention. Hope you have a PS3. Ew, don't even. 9, LBP-Not the same. At. All.

I'm sort of hoping they don't make one. Games based off movies end up making me facepalm and/or want to cry. *sigh* Though I'd probably still play it.. >__>; *coughhypocritecough*
Though if it were an RPG where you could make ur own character...*squees* Just thinking about it makes me happy lol

My brother mentioned LBP as being similar to 9. I'll have to look for myself before I judge.
As for a 9 game...if it was made as well as the Spiderman 2 video game, it could be good.

ARRGH, I WANNA 9 VIDEO GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111one!!!!! Believe it or not, that was the first thing I said when I saw the trailer for the first time: "That'll make one wicked awesome video game!" If it comes out for the WII and someone tries to beat me to it, they'll have to fight me for it.........and I'll fight dirty.

I'd probably have the most fun mixing and matching different materials for the look of the character... You can burlap, maybe felt, you can put patches and stitches wherever they would fit, change the colors... I'm getting excited just thinking about it! Mhm yessss.... and I would flood the world with little plaid and argyle ninjas. ...Thus completely missing the point of the game. But at least I would be amused.

O h come on, how can LBP be NOT like 9 at all?
Theyre both about little toys fighting machines. I bet if I get the game, I'm gonna make my sack boy look just like 9 and create giant machines that look liek the ones fro mthe movie.

I actually have ideas for how a 9 video game could go, and if I could, I would make a 9 video game for as many systems as I could, and I would keep it as close to the movie as I possibly could, and not even attempt to stray, but add many parts between the cuts between the scenes in the movie.
I also saw there is a 9 Mobile phone game, I haven't played it, but it may be good.

As long as it isn't for the PS3 or phone. (I don't have a PS3 and my phone sucks.. I can't get the one already for it)
Other than that, as long as it's as good as Spiderman I'm good!

If they made one I'd play it, just to see if they put any more backstory to any of the characters.

copypasta from the other 9 video game thread: Knowing how most movie games turn out, this'll probably just end up to be one of those "pick a character and do stuff yay" games. Most movie games follow the linear path set by the movie (except for a few exceptions), mostly because the developers can't think of how to make the game actually GOOD. For some reason, I'd love to see it be open-ended, where, even after you beat the game, you can roam the world, fight off the machines, and find random things. Also, I don't know how this would work, but a custom weapon creator would be awesome, and would even more promote the idea of wandering the wastelands... am I just describing a 9-themed Fallout? Maybe. I guess it's because IT'S A DAMN GOOD GAME, and just because it would work. Hell, they could just make a game spinoff from 9! Maybe they could get Shane to make some new character (0? 10? the numbers would make sense, but would also piss off some people here >_> , give him a backstory, and make a basic plotline. I guess at this point, the point of the game would to just survive the land. ...maybe I should just start jotting this information down... *opens OpenOffice*

Open ended games are always fun, and, really, I like your ideas, that's for sure. If anything, I would want boss battles with the major machines, as I always enjoy those.
Being able to make your own weapons is a very good idea there, and it would probably still make much sense in relation to the movie's story, as the main characters have to make their own weapons, since human weapons are too big for them and all, so they only need to scavenge for parts for a weapon, and even use environmental objects as weapons. It would probably also make sense for each character, if it were so that you played as any of the Stitchpunks you wanted, or something like that, it would make sense for each one to have a primary weapon, so they'd always be able to fight against the machines.
If anything, I hope they make a game at some point, and it stayed true to the film, but still with good features.
