So you've all seen the short film 9. (we hope)
Quite a few seem to enjoy the part where 5 and 9 are trying to get the lightbulb out of the lamp, as well as the moment when 5 lights it up and 9 smiles.
Do you have a favorite part? A tiny detail you particularly liked?
... Mine was the moment 5 pulled out the green capsule-- the camera is angled to look up at their expressions of abject horror as the green light flashes warning. Gave me chills, so it did.

I wouldn't say this is my favorite part, however it is the part that I remember most from the short, and that is the scene where Nine gets the two pieces together and frees the souls of his friends, so they may rest in peace...At least, that's my interpretation of it. It gives me chills to see them freed from the pieces.

Quite a few seem to enjoy the part where 5 and 9 are trying to get the lightbulb out of the lamp, as well as the moment when 5 lights it up and 9 smiles. Co-sign. It's a cute scene. Also, when 5 offers the bulb to 9 was pretty awesome. Also, the final scene when 9 walks away.

I'd have to say the beginning, where you can see 9 setting up his trap for the CSM, you really get to see all the detail in such small items like the spoon he used to get the tare into the fake doll, even the cloth detail he used for the fake doll was awsome, even in the goop of tare that fell to the floor when 9 thought he heard the CSM, the expression was priceless. Not to mention you kinda get a ruff idea on how big they are just by comparing the size of the Beowulf book 9 was trying to get up the right way, and he little hand jesters of "oh no, no no no don't, don't fall!" then it settled like he wanted it too with the little'whew' look. Not to mention I was pretty curious what we was doing with that swing he used to push the book over at the end, and using a screw as a hammer? awsome!
Plus the way the CSM looked in the dark while it was looking for 9 with the other half of the soul-sucking-thingy was just pure creepy to me.

Yeah, the lamp part is way cute and funny, and I will say that I never seen anyone look quite so horrified as 5 and 9 did at moment.
I also like the look on 5's face when he realizes the monster is behind him. His entire expressions says "Oh crap I'm going to die."
I love when 9 is leading the monster into the trap and he runs to edge of the board and stops then slowly closes his eyes like he's trying to stabalize his emotions and slow his "heart rate" down. And then the look of hope and wonderment when he realizes his plan is going to work.
The emotions that come over their faces are amazing. I mean, you know that if they were human they faces would pale, they're stomachs would clench and they're breathing would quicken but even though they're burlap and they don't have blood, stomachs or the need to breath I still feel like I get the full impact of what they're feeling. It makes them seem very real to me.

I, for one, am a big fan of the moment the plank wonked Forkfoot the Catskull-monster in the face. Got what he deserved, so he did.

the moment when 5 lights it up and 9 smiles. My favorite part, definitely. It was just so cute.

I personaly liked CSM's expression when he found out that the decoy was'nt really 9 and made a face like "Ah! Damnit!" I also like the begining where he's setting up the trap.

huh, its hard to decide. the whole short was amazing. I like the part where 5 shows 9 the lightbulb- especially where he laughs after 9 smiles.
and the whole scene at the end, where 9 releases the others souls from the CSM's soul-container-thingy.

I liked all the sound effects that went into it general... The part I did enjoy viewing was the chase scene where 9 almost slipped on the bit of paper. Oh and the lightbulb part :B.

The part with 5 lighting the light bulb, who can NOT love that scene. Seriously, 9's smile and 5's laugh win on an epic scale. Nothing can beat it.
And also, the part with 9 getting all excited at seeing the magnifying glass, and looking through it, then his face gets all magnified and he's smiling in fascination. Heh, that part was cool. ^^

I love how 9 can set up traps... they're so intricately-designed and well thought out. Almost as if he can imagine every possible scenario and has plan D and E in mind, so there's no room for failure. Maybe his amazing survival skills are why he has leadership and why (if this happens in the movie as well) he's the only survivor.
I also love the ending where he sets the souls free. That was wow... When 5 turned around and nodded, I got shivers.

I love the silent laugh that 5 has. It is so funny to me. I just die from laughter myself.
I also like, (I call this a rich man's wife. I really don't know why, but I have for years) how 9 set up the traps for the monsters, and wins. The monster didn't even see it coming! Like how you have to watch it all the way through to figure out the beginning. It was amazing to me. I said, "they pulled a Rich man's wife in a little over ten minutes. That is freakin awesome!" and that is actually the reason how I started to exspect a lot form the movie, and I never do that (Unless it's a pixar movie.)

Ah! I love it too! 9 knows he's too small to outrun the Catskull monster, so he sets up this entire obstacle course-- things to bounce off, to slide on, to squeeze through-- to give him a head start every step of the way. As terrified as he is, he's thought through every single step.
I love as the chase starts, and 9 leaps through a hole in an old license plate and lands on a small peice of metal in the ground that springs him backward. The Catskull had to grind to a stop and turn itself around, and by then 9 had put a lot of ground between them.
Took me so long to catch that on low-quality Youtube video...

In truth, I kind of liked how when the thingy (lol) started glowing after the memory, 9 didn't react at first, like he was still lost in his thoughts. Little details like that make it a little bit more real.
