^ Yeah, I think either that's an animation glitch, or they left out alot of parts from that exclusive clip.

It's clearly an animation glitch. They didn't left out any parts, the clip has fluidity.Show me just one gap between the continuity of the shots and we might consider this. For christ sake people, nobody can work flawless, especially not in animation.

maybe........just maybe...........they weren't totally done with the technical things in that clip. It's no uncommon to release slightly unfinished animation before the movie.

Just look a the trailer. The scene where 9 runs from the FM and the flames, leaping out into the air and grabbing that rope? The rope isn't even ATTACHED to the pulley over his head. It looks rather weird.

I'm sure she'll use her shield at some point. I'm betting there's a hell of a lot more butt left to be kicked by 7 that we haven't yet seen.
And regarding the mysterious vanishing patches, it's probably just the same deal with 1's coin. It's just difficult to keep them consistent between different animators.

Actually,no,it's not.The character design continuity is one of the first things animators look after when animating frames.
That said, the patch glitch is quite ostentatious. But when the clip was released they we're still production,so there's a very low chance that this will appear in the actual movie.

I still think they should fix the coin issue. At least 7's patch isn't as noticeable...
Say, do you think those feathers she wears are to give the illusion that she has kinda long hair? Or do you guys think they're more like warrior trinkets along with the birdy skull?

Yeah, I believe the feather is a metaphor of her femininity, as well as a symbolism of warriorhood. I believe Yoyo had this amazing theory that 7 is a bird, while the Cat-Skull is a cat... and how 7, the bird, is able to defeat the cat. How impossible that seems, yet 7 is able to do it. The feather represents how small and fragile she really is, but she makes up for it in using her physical agility to her best capabilities.

I also thought the feathers were a makeshift ponytail! (high-fives Evayo)
As much of a helmet the Skullmet serves to be, it also appears to be an aesthetic choice of design. Since 7 is a girl, they seem to find it important to cover up her bald-as-an-egg head. It makes her look less iffy. The feathers serve as a sort of ponytail, and she even has a pair of teeth dangling from the sides of the skullmet as though they were earrings.
