Anyone else heard about this yet? "Shane has recently formed Benthos Studio, an animation production company in Los Angeles with partners Greg Little, Jack Mitchell and Brown Bag Films in Dublin. He is currently directing Benthos’ first production, Deep, an animated feature created using proprietary animation software based on the Source game engine."
Here's the teaser trailer. www.shaneacker.com/#deep-teaser-trailerOpinions? Personally, I'm kinda excited. I'm definitely starting to see a pattern emerging with Shane's animation style. Also, " the Source game engine"? Coincidence much?

That looks really interesting! It sounds like an ingenious idea, actually! Looks like a studio I'd like to get a job at~
Also, The Source engine. XD That's really cute.

This looks so awesome! The character designs and shading kinda reminds me of The Borderlands series.

Woot! Second teaser trailer released!
Is it me or does all this footage actually feel like they're simply rough animatics? If the final animation looks like this then.................I'll still watch it.

I agree, the animation still seems to be in it's rough stages, but all in all I'm still very interested.

....You have a point there, JJ. From what it sounds like, the stitchpunks could be battling the machines on land at the same time the humans are battling the creatures underwater.

That's how 9 saved the world! He killed the evil machine on land so that the humans under water could come back to a safe world! [/size]

Was the water poisoned, though? How would the humans drink? Unless they found a way to clean it, and not breath the air outside the water... I guess we never really see bodies of water in the 9 movie... *insert dramatic cord here!*

Valve helping out on a film sounds brilliant. We know their graphic capabilities-- and their talent for little shortfilms-- from the Team Fortress 2 promo videos. I would happily watch a whole movie made of that.
I'm excited to see what Shane Acker will bring to the project. He has a unique eye for Post-Apocalypse material~
