I don't want him to have full-blown powers, but I think it would be cool if he just had a way of knowing things that he couldn't explain.

I've always wanted to do this with every character so... I shall! *pulls out huge list of notes taken on every character... yes, I am obsessed*
At first, everyone disregarded 6, because as far as they knew, he was an artist. That was all he was: an artist. Using his ink-covered fingers, he would draw out these intricate and detailed drawings. As he matured, his drawings became more concrete. The abstractness faded... and the others realized he was more than just an artist.
6 was the key to their survival. They didn't know it until they figured out that 6 could somehow know when something was about to happen. He would watch for signs, and after clicking them together, he could interpret the meanings. He became very valuable to the rag-doll kind, because of his amazing sixth sense abilities...
I've pictured 6 as a very secretive character, often keeping thoughts to himself, unless somebody is willing to trust him, and then he'll open up with some crazy but realistic ideas. I've seen him as one who loves everyone, who trusts everyone, but doesn't trust himself. I can see him as a self-critical character, who sees good in everyone but himself. I can see him as a self-sacrificing person, often allowing himself to get hurt so that others could have chances of survival.
Wielding a mysterious black key, I've had this theory that when he dies... He tells 9 what the key opens. Or he dies opening the lock that the key is used for. Either way, my theory is that his death is linked to the mystery of the key.
... Those are my theories about 6. Hahahahahaha... *hides* I know I'm not 100% right. Those are my guesses. (Most of it are summarizations I've already made in Soul Seekers, which I'm updating existing chapters before moving on...)

*laughs* We have two different 6s in mind, Final.
I don't picture him as a psychic, but as one with a visual memory. The abstract images he draws has more meaning to the dollfolk's history than anyone realizes, including 6 himself.
... I also picture him as comic relief. I don't know why. I blame his snarky-sounding voice actor.
Incidentally, I also imagine him as one who deliberately gets on 5's nerves, because he's always making fun of 5's doom-and-gloom outlook. Perhaps 6 would be a little whiny, a little cowardly, but a team player all the same.

Seems people are pretty evenly split on who or what they think 6 is XD we could ALL be wrong, after all. All we've seen of him, REALLY seen of him, is five seconds in the trailer. We haven't heard him speak, or interact with anyone, or really do anything except draw those mysterious pictures of his. WHERE we all got the idea of him being at least partially psychic is totally unknown (unless there's an article somewhere with it written and I missed it). I'm in the psychic camp, myself, but I won't begrudge the movie if he's not

I think the 'psychic' image may have come from Wikipedia, where his character is described with two words; "artist" and "visionary". Perhaps some took the word 'visionary' literally?

I got the "psychic" idea from him drawing what I still assume are 9's in the trailer. But I'm really not all that crazy about the idea. I'd actually rather he not be psychic, since that sort of thing is a bunch of bullcrap anyway

I'm going to die laughing if his key turns out it be just a key. Like a decorative item that he just happned to fancy. I hate to burst any bubbles if that happens. I sometimes wonder if we're expecting too much out of this movie.

I sometimes wonder if we're expecting too much out of this movie. I'm with you here - I actually don't expect the key to be used for anything. I think it might be a metaphor for part of his personality or his role in the group, but that's all.

Im going to go with decoration also. They needed something to make him stick out more than just his Harpo hair. Watch it open the door the factory we see at the end of the trailer.
But if you think about it...it is a rather small key. Looks like the ones that 'unlock' those toy handcuffs. I use to have one hanging off my collar until I found a bigger one.

Well...
I'm not sure why I pictured 6 as somewhat psychic. I'd still love him if he was or wasn't. To me, the black key was a metaphor that he held the secrets of their kind... That he knew what others didn't. That was a little bit of what made me picture him as psychic...
I don't think he'd walk up to someone and say, "If you don't punch a wall, demon spiders will devour your soul." ... Or something along those lines... *smacks self for not coming up with a better example*
I also don't picture him as a panicking, freaking-out, running-away coward who keeps on worrying that everyone's going to die.
I pictured him as calm, spazzy, intelligent, curious, fearful, and somewhat sacrificing...
My brain shut off. Hold on, let me charge it. *continues to think*

I heard this morning that way back when it wasn't common to have keys, very few did. And if you had a key around your neck it meant you your of great worth and power..if I remember correctly.

I like his character disign because his lensed are two diffrent sizes. Very unique! I don't want him to have full-blown powers, but I think it would be cool if he just had a way of knowing things that he couldn't explain. Yeah, I imagine him just picking up paper and drawing something he hasn’t any idea what exactly. I also see the character inconsistent in everything what he does, chaotic misunderstood by others and himself, fool of inspiration, kind and naive. And I guess that his naivety will annoy others. As for the key around 6’s neck.. Shane’ve said in the interview, that he created the ragdolls as scavengers. As you can see from the clip, 7 picked up bird skull and uses it as helm, 5 has made an arbalest from springs, needles and fish hooks, 8 made two swords from scissors.. I think that 6, as an artist, picked up that key, because he finds it beautiful. Amulet, maybe Voice: Thanks to 13 for providing a clip, I expect 6 to chatter and to have incoherent speech and some strange accent so that other ragdolls sometimes would not understand what he’s saying. Aww it’d be cute.

Using his ink-covered fingers, he would draw out these intricate and detailed drawings. ' My thoughts exactly! I'm so excited that 6 draws with his pen-shape fingers! Edit:How do I love Crispin Glover's voice! It fits 6 so much! And it sort of....plush.

First of all, this is my first post, but I've been ninja-lurking around this website for a long long time. I finally decided to make an account so I could just mention one really small pointless theory that I have about 6, which has probably been mentioned already.
Anyway, I read on another topic that someone was noting who was right-handed and who was left, and they said 6 was right-handed. I actually think it would make more sense that he would be ambidextrous since both hands are made up of ink pen tips, not just the right. I got a really cool mental image of 6 trying to illustrate his visions using both hands at the same time, and since each finger is a pen tip, using each finger to add different detail in a kind of all-over the place, scribbly, hectic kind of way.
On a side note: I hope this message doesn't put this topic into seven pages (for some reason I find it delightful that this topic about 6 has six pages...)
