I think that the Scientist transferred his life force to 9. Remember the soul insertion scene we got in the second trailer? Looks like 9's soul enters into his heart. I created this really odd theory, and it only makes sense if you've read Soul Seekers...
Soul Insertion:
There are three components of the soul, represented by the three parts of the Talisman. The soul is inserted into three portals of the receptive heartpiece. By the way, a vacuum transports the soul into the body. The soul enters into the heart, which is its holding container, until the soul is activated and awakens. A certain sound, word/verbal command, event, or something can active the soul. Once it's activated, the soul swims into the chest cavity in confusion. Soon, it learns it must control the body, otherwise it's trapped and will fade from existence. It finds the spine in the back of the chest cavity, travels up, and enters the Control Center/Brain. From that point, they can connect with their body organs and come to life.
Soul Extraction:
The weak points of a StitchPunk are their mouth and eyes. The three components of the soul is represented again here. It's easiest to remove a soul through the Control Center, which has full control over the body. The easiest access into the head is through the mouth and eyes, hence the reason the soul is extracted through the face. The vacuum that extracts the soul detaches the soul from its body, and violently rips it out... thus why it looks so painful to die.
Yup... those are my theories. I came up with them today ^^

This is pretty much unnecessary because....well numerous reasons but I wanted to anyway!! I went into the scrapyard and I'm gathering all the pics from the previous CP threads and putting them in here! It makes for one heck of a huge post though so if people get annoyed with having to scroll past it all I'll take it down. Also, there may be some repeat pictures. I'm doing Character Pictures 1 in this post and then later or maybe not till tomorrow I'll do the rest. Wow, I never saw that in the trailer!! That must be when 6 goes flying in the air with the Fabrication Machine!!! A-w-e-s-o-m-e, Jabberwocky!! ;D

Yeah, 6 definitely is NOT the reclusive crazy he's made out to be... If he can comfort 5 as he watches his beloved mentor's dead body drift slowly to places unknown, that would show that 6 has a much bigger heart than he lets on... *is suddenly quite emotional*

Is it just me or is 6's number crooked? Maybe he's just standing funny.

Is it just me or is 6's number crooked? Maybe he's just standing funny. It looks to me like the thing making it look crooked is the stitches attaching his right arm to his body. They look like they come pretty far in, if that makes any sense. Of course, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if the number were crooked. After all, 6's eyes are crooked too, lol!

A sort of character development, perhaps?

An interesting theory, Final. Makes sense to me. Or perhaps he becomes more lucid as the flim goes on? A sort of character development, perhaps? I always imagined getting crazier as the film went on, but then again, I have this morbid fascination with crazy characters. Maybe he's looking for comfort from 5? I have doubts that 6 is always truly present in situations, so he may be wondering what's going on and attaches himself to whoever's close, that being 5? ... Far-fetched rambling is far-fetched.

o.o Whaaaaaaaaaaat? You mean this theory? ... Yes. I thought it was plausible, I mean, the soul has to go somewhere or else it can't stay inside the body, and it makes the body move, like how a person will stop moving after they've died/ their soul has left them. To control the body, the soul goes to the brain, located in the head, which is where the soul is also taken from the dolls. And we've all heard that the eyes are the window to the soul. By the way, Jab, I agree with your spoiler-hidden theories.

You know, in almost every shot I've seen of them together, 6 is either holding 5's arm or sticking close to him, which tells me there's a good deal of trust between them. I'm very curious to see how they interact in the film.

I think 5 is very kindly towards everyone, really...
He befriends 9, the newbie. He pats the twins on the head happily when they reunite. He puts his hand on 2's back, and even 7's shoulder...
Generally, I think he's just a nice person. XD

That's a good point, anna. I think that's why 5's grown on me so much
