What? Amnesia? The Source? What?

I'm really not sure if this fits into this category or video games or whatnot, but I had to share this when I found it. I mean wow.

So one of my favourite gamers on Youtube is Tobuscus. He did an Amnesia walkthrough a while back that was an absolute stitch, so when I found out he bought a DLC for the game I jumped at the chance to view it. Got on the computer today, pressed play on the DLC ... and THIS pops up.

I mean granted it's not the exact symbolism of the Source but that doesn't stop me from feeling like I just stepped into the Twilight Zone o-O

Dude, that is freaky... looking at when the game was released, it must have been in development when 9 came out, so this could be a total coincidence. :O

The 'Justine' DLC itself came out ... 4 days ago ^^; And that was one of the loading screens from the DLC rather than the game itself. It could still be coincidence if that shape is common in alchemy, since alchemy pops up in Amnesia too.

Although I only played a short demo of it in the store, so I probably never even got to see it. XD

That's a pretty good catch JJ, now when I actually did an Xbox 360 and amnesia I will be even more terrified. Or awestruck, whichever comes first. XD

I am quite sure that it has to do with common symbols found in alchemy. I remember that someone had looked up the symbols for the source and they translated to body, mind, and spirit, so I do believe....I will look these up.

I found them, and in clockwise order they go: Neptunius, Saturnus, Lupiter

These three are planetary metals that stand for Neptunium (radioactive metal discovered after the hight of alchemy) then Lead and Tin

Yeah, those symbols in the circle are the regular planetary symbols for Neptune, Saturn, and Jupiter. Maybe they included those because those are the three biggest planets (not counting Uranus, of course)? Lead and Tin are also pretty common elements in the world, but Neptunium is manmade, not naturally occurring. Keeping that in mind, it might have made more sense to include Uranus instead because Uranium is a naturally occurring element.

So maybe...the creators of the game just thought this particular design looked pretty? XD
