So 1's a pimp AND a singer? How tallented!
It would be awesome if they gave 1 a small song or something just so fans of Mr. Plummer can hear him sing.

Well, this movie DOES have the hand of Tim Burton in it.
And we all know how much he loves musicals.

Oh geez, please, no more musicals. No offense to Tim Burton, infact I'm a very big fan of his. His use of musical numbers in The Nightmare Before Christmas was fantastic, no doubt. It's a classic. But I remember when I went to theaters to see his Corpse Bride, right when the very first musical notes were sung, I cringed in my seat thinking "Oh gawd no, I was hoping this one wouldn't turn out to be a musical, WHY?!" IMO the movie didn't need it, and the voices that were singing were pretty awful anyway. The spider and maggot drove me insane especially. I was disappointed Victor didn't sing one number. I DON'T want 9 to become a musical! If that happens, I'll be cringing in my seat again. ._. Please Tim, the musical numbers are not needed! This is a movie about ragdolls fighting off enemies and fighting for survival and mankind for pete's sake!

I agree that musical numbers can be great in some cases, but I don't think 9 will give the characters a lot of reason to sing.

Yes, and I think musical numbers in the movie 9 will be wasted effort to develop characters. They could be using that time singing for time to develop deep meaningful conversations between characters or other plot developments. Besides, I'm still worried about the time frame of the movie. That's what made me worried about Corpse Bride. They spent too much time on musical numbers, then rushed the ending. Made me sad.

... *tries imagining each one of the characters singing* ...
.....
........
.......... Nope I got nothing. I can't see ANY of them singing. I just can't put two and two together in my head. If any one of them starts singing in the movie, I'm gonna barf.
Nightmare Before Christmas as a musical = GOOD Corpse Bride as a musical = BAD Sweeney Todd as a musical = ... wait, the original play was a musical so it doesn't make a difference... it was good anyway lol
... 9 as musical ... OMG I don't even want to start thinking about it, BAD
... Although 6 would be funny singing... NO, NO SINGING!!! *twitch*
Shane Acker IS technically the Director so I'm not too worried about it...

Although watching a singalong take place in a PG-13 movie would be pretty forking hilarious.

And they'd have words on the bottom of the screen, and encourage everyone to sing along.
Some one needs to make a 9 sing along. It would be epic lulz.

Actually, speaking of 6 singing and all... Lololololol But we're getting seriously off-topic guys. We should be talking about 1!!! Not about musicals and 6's singing.
